Joan Laporta has openly expressed the desire for Lionel Messi to finish his career in Barcelona.
In a recent interview, he stated that this is his and the club’s aspiration.
“I feel indebted to Leo Messi. I would like the end of his career to be at Barcelona with applause in every stadium. I think we can make it happen,” he initially said.
“This is our aspiration, my goal with Leo is clear,” added Laporta.
Messi left Barcelona last season, after many successful years with the Catalans.
