Thomas Müller is preparing to close a major chapter in his career after 25 glorious years with Bayern Munich.
The German forward is expected to leave the Bavarian giants after the Club World Cup, bringing an end to an era filled with trophies and emotion.
But what comes next? The 35-year-old himself admits he has not yet made a final decision.
In an interview with DAZN, Müller keeps all options open.
“In general, looking at my current physical condition, I would like to continue playing because football is pure fun. But maybe I will stop. I’m not putting any pressure on myself. Everything is still possible,” he said.
One of the options being mentioned is a move to Inter Miami, where he would reunite with Lionel Messi. Although there has been no direct contact so far, the idea is not ruled out at all.
“In principle, I wouldn’t mind playing with Messi, but at the moment I have no direct contact with Miami,” Müller emphasized.
However, if he chooses to continue his career at another club, Müller has one clear requirement.
“The whole package has to be right. What does that mean? To discover something new. The more distant or exotic places have an advantage over the domestic league,” he stated.
