The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has confirmed that the club has escaped financial ruin.
The reduction of wages in the club, the sale of players and the activation of levers seem to have saved Barca from the financial crisis,
Laporta said that he has built a racing team only for an amount of 74 million euros.
“We transferred players for 215 million euros and profited 141 million euros from sales, we built a competitive team for 74 million euros,” said Laporta.
“We reduced the salary bill by nearly 100 million euros, and so we are planning to reduce another 70 million euros. Yes, we have saved Barcelona from financial ruin”, added the president of Barcelona.
