Messi Breaks Another Historic Record – No One Has Ever Done It Before

Lionel Messi continues to make history in world football. The Argentine superstar has become the first player ever to score in seven consecutive FIFA World Cup matches.

The 39-year-old once again etched his name into the record books after scoring a spectacular free-kick in Argentina’s 3-1 victory over Jordan in their final group-stage match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Although he started the game on the bench, Messi came on in the second half and put any doubts to rest with a perfectly executed free-kick, sealing the win for the reigning world champions.

With that goal, Argentina’s captain set an unprecedented new record, becoming the first player in World Cup history to find the back of the net in seven consecutive matches.

Another record, another magical moment, and yet another reminder that Lionel Messi continues to defy history even at the age of 39.
