Inter have started 2023 in the best possible way by grabbing their first trophy, the Italian Super Cup.
In the grand final which took place on Arab soil, Inter easily defeated arch rival Milan with a score of 3-0.
Due to an extremely weak defense, Milan conceded two goals within 21 minutes when Di Marco and Edin Dzeko scored, making Inzaghi’s team go to the break with maximum calmness.
Even in the second half, Inter continued to control the game while Milan tried to give signals for a comeback, but without success.
The Rossoneri’s hopes for a comeback were dashed by Lautaro Martinez with his beautiful goal in the 77th minute after an assist from Milan Skriniar.
This is the first major trophy for Inter in this year that has just started, while it seems that it will be more difficult in the fight for the title in Serie-A.
