Trump: The U.S. will open the Strait of Hormuz one way or another – Calls on 5 countries to send warships

The U.S. President stated that “one way or another, we will soon make the Strait of Hormuz open, safe, and free.”

In a post on his Truth Social platform, he wrote that he hopes China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom will send warships to this important maritime channel so that it will no longer pose a threat from Iran.

He added that many countries will send warships to keep this key maritime transport corridor “open and secure.”

Meanwhile, Trump said that the United States will continue “to heavily bomb the coastline and constantly target Iranian ships and vessels at sea.”

Trump also claimed that the U.S. has “destroyed 100% of Iran’s military capabilities,” but added that it still remains “easy” for Tehran to use drones, sea mines, and short-range missiles.

On the other hand, Iran’s representative in Geneva, Ali Bahrani, said that Trump’s claims about eliminating Tehran’s military capabilities “are based on fabricated lies,” according to BBC.
