Football star Cristiano Ronaldo is seriously considering retirement from football next year.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who has won almost every trophy in football, is reflecting on his future, with one of the most likely options being his departure from Al Nassr and “hanging up his boots.”
According to reports by well-known journalist Ben Jacobs, Ronaldo is expected to leave Al Nassr in the summer of 2027 and is seriously considering retiring from football.
Based on the report, Ronaldo has already decided to end his collaboration with the Saudi club, although Al Nassr are hoping to keep him by offering him a percentage of the club’s shares.
Saudi Arabia hopes to retain Ronaldo as an ambassador and is also prepared to offer him a full 15 percent of Al Nassr’s shares, where he would take on a leadership role at the club—an ambition the Portuguese star has publicly expressed several times.
It is worth recalling that Ronaldo is currently focused on winning the league title in Saudi Arabia, as well as the World Cup with the Portuguese national team, the only trophy he has yet to lift.
In addition, the former Real Madrid star has made it clear that one of his main goals is to become the first goalscorer to reach the milestone of 1,000 career goals.
