Offer and Asking Price Still Far Apart as Real Madrid and Manchester City Remain Deadlocked Over Rodri

Real Madrid continue to push for the signing of Rodri, but negotiations with Manchester City remain difficult due to the significant gap in the two clubs’ valuation of the Spanish midfielder.

According to reports from Spain, the Madrid giants are prepared to submit an offer worth around €60 million, while Manchester City are demanding €135 million, leaving a €75 million gap between the two sides.

Despite the considerable difference, Real Madrid have no intention of abandoning their pursuit of the midfielder.

The club’s hierarchy believes Rodri’s desire to return to Spain could play a key role in lowering the asking price and helping move the negotiations forward.

The 30-year-old midfielder is regarded as the ideal addition to Los Blancos’ midfield, especially after his outstanding performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he was named the tournament’s Best Player.

However, Manchester City have no intention of letting one of their most influential players leave easily.

Further talks between the two clubs are expected in the coming days, but for now, an agreement still appears to be a long way off due to the substantial financial gap between City’s asking price and Real Madrid’s offer.
