Milan Reject Fenerbahçe’s Opening Offer for Rafael Leão

AC Milan have rejected Fenerbahçe’s initial offer for Rafael Leão after the Turkish club proposed a loan deal with an option to buy.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, but Milan’s management have made it clear that they are not willing to accept a temporary deal for the Portuguese star.

Fenerbahçe remain interested in signing Leão and are expected to return with an improved offer. However, Milan’s position remains unchanged: the Italian club will only consider a permanent transfer, not a loan with a purchase option.

Leão’s future has been one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window, with the Portuguese forward reportedly open to taking on a new challenge in his career.

The 27-year-old has been one of Milan’s most influential players since joining from Lille in 2019, establishing himself as one of the Rossoneri’s key figures.

Despite Fenerbahçe’s strong interest, it remains to be seen whether the Turkish club can convince Milan with a new offer for the permanent transfer of Rafael Leão.
