Internationally acclaimed Albanian singer Rita Ora has spoken openly about her roots, her family’s journey, and the path that led her to global success.
Born in Pristina, Kosovo, and having moved to the United Kingdom with her family during the 1990s, Rita revealed that her experience as an immigrant has been a defining part of her identity.
In an interview with British media, the artist said she has never felt uncomfortable about her background and remains deeply proud of her family’s story.
“I’m proud to be an immigrant, and I will always be grateful for the opportunities I’ve had,” Rita said.
She emphasized that many immigrants share a strong determination to prove themselves and build a better life, adding that countless success stories are rooted in the experience of immigration.
Rita also spoke about her upcoming professional projects, revealing that she is currently working on her fourth studio album and will reprise her role as the Queen of Hearts in the upcoming Descendants film.
On the personal front, the singer shared that one of her dreams is to collaborate on a film project with her husband, acclaimed filmmaker Taika Waititi.
During the interview, Rita also discussed her commitment to her health, explaining that she has made important decisions regarding her future. She noted that her family’s medical history has made her more aware of the importance of regular health check-ups and long-term planning.
