U.S. President Donald Trump spoke to reporters at the White House while hosting Argentina’s President Javier Milei, the BBC reported. He was asked how long it would take for Hamas to disarm and whether he could guarantee that it would happen.
“They will be disarmed, because they said they would be disarmed. And if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them,” he said.
He added that U.S. officials had spoken with Hamas and the group said it would hand over its weapons.
“They know I’m not playing games,” he said. When asked what deadline would be set for the group, Trump replied “a reasonable period of time.”
