Luis Suarez among the legends — 600 career goals: “If I told you I dreamed of this, I’d be lying”

Luis Suarez has reached the milestone of 600 goals in his career.

On Saturday night, the Uruguayan scored in Inter Miami’s 4–0 victory over Atlanta United in the MLS.

The 38-year-old has enjoyed a glorious career, winning nearly every major trophy: one Champions League, one Club World Cup, five La Liga titles, four Copa del Rey trophies, two Spanish Super Cups, one English League Cup, and in the Netherlands, one Eredivisie title and one national cup.

In Brazil with Grêmio, he won two Gauchão championships, while in Uruguay he lifted three league titles, and with the Uruguayan national team, he won the Copa América.

Individually, Suarez has claimed the top scorer award seven times in various competitions and has twice won the European Golden Shoe.

He is also the all-time leading scorer for Uruguay’s national team, with 69 goals in 143 matches.

Suarez commented on this achievement with a post on his social media accounts:

“If I told you I dreamed of this, I’d be lying. I never imagined I could achieve so much in my career. I’m grateful to all the clubs I played for, to the national team, my teammates, coaches, staff, club workers, my family, and the fans. All of them are part of this accomplishment. There’s always another page to be written…” wrote one of Europe’s best strikers of the past 15 years.
