Trump expected to visit Israel on Monday; roads to be blocked and flights banned

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to visit Israel on Monday, the Israeli Police said in a statement outlining the security measures to be implemented during the visit.

Thousands of police officers, Border Police personnel, and volunteers will be deployed as Trump visits the country, the police spokesperson’s unit said.

Roads will be closed, and aircraft — including drones — will be prohibited from flying over Ben Gurion Airport and Jerusalem.

Trump said yesterday that he would “try to make a trip” to the region to mark the release of hostages held in Gaza, which he said would take place on Monday or Tuesday.
