U.S. President Donald Trump, in a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, set a 10–12 day deadline for Russia to agree to a deal regarding Ukraine—effectively cutting in half his previous 50-day deadline.
Trump stated that if Russia fails to reach an agreement, he may impose secondary sanctions and tariffs, according to the BBC.
Starmer and Trump agreed that aid must reach Gaza and that a ceasefire is needed, with Starmer describing the images of starvation as “intolerable.”
Trump said it has been “difficult” dealing with Hamas, and that the situation remains challenging due to the hostages still being held in captivity.
