Four people lost their lives when a small plane struck power lines in Illinois and crashed into a field.
According to foreign media, as reported by Telegrafi, the accident occurred Saturday morning in Trilla, Illinois, about 300 kilometers south of Chicago, according to the Illinois State Police.
The National Transportation Safety Board said the single-engine aircraft, a Cessna 180, struck power lines before crashing, with debris scattered across County Line Road.
Authorities stated that two men and two women were on board the aircraft, but their names have not yet been released.
They have announced that an investigation into the crash is underway, and the wreckage will be moved to a secure location for further inspection. A preliminary report is expected to be released within 30 days.
