“Friends”
In vain, my conscience told me,
People aren’t always friends.
You think they love you,
But in fact, you have “enemies”!
I tell myself, why, they have no reason,
I have no power, nor arrogance…
I don’t hate anyone in life,
I don’t distinguish between good and bad!
It doesn’t matter, they don’t love you,
You have “friends” close to you!
(Love, you don’t forgive, says Christ,
But if you don’t love them, they’re enemies!)
It’s not surprising in this life,
Among friends, there are also “enemies”.
The poison of ego entangles…
And makes them oh so bitter!
Don’t be petty, don’t be upset,
My inner voice says, you’re nothing.
Worthless in this world,
But if you didn’t have “enemies”!
