The future of Xavi continues to be unclear whether he will stay at Barcelona or leave at the end of the season.
The Catalan coach confirmed a month ago that he would leave Barcelona at the end of the season, but many voices have circulated that he will stay.
Even the president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has stated that they would be happy if Xavi stayed at the club for at least another season.
Now Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has also spoken about this, saying he is confident that Xavi will stay at the club for the new season.
“I don’t think Xavi’s decision is 100 percent… we’ll see, I think he will stay and I am sure.”
“I don’t speak with Xavi every day, but we have spoken a few times. I want the best for him because I am sure it will be the best for the club,” Pique declared.
Pique’s words are surprising because in all his recent public appearances, Xavi has been quite clear about his future and that the decision to leave on June 30 is final.
