Three goals, two red cards: The derby between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona had it all

Barcelona secured a big win away at Atletico Madrid in Week 29 of La Liga, triumphing 3-0.

After 38 minutes of play, Blaugranas took the lead with a goal from Joao Felix, assisted by Robert Lewandowski.

Xavi was first cautioned with a yellow card in the 41st minute for excessive protests, which did not calm him down.

Just a minute later, he received a second yellow card, resulting in his expulsion from the Barcelona bench.

This situation didn’t deter the Catalan players, who scored two more goals.

In the 47th minute, Lewandowski scored for 2-0, adding more calmness to his teammates.

Fermin Lopez (65′) scored for 3-0 with an assist from the Polish forward, sealing Barcelona’s victory at 3-0.

Atletico Madrid remained with one player less on the field when Nahuel Molina (90+3′) was shown a red card.

After Week 29, Barcelona sits in second place with 64 points, and in Week 30, they face Las Palmas.
