Inter Miami is showing interest in signing Casemiro, who is 34 years old, and whose contract with Manchester United expires on June 30, after which he is expected to leave England.
MLS is appearing as an attractive option for the Brazilian midfielder.
According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, Lionel Messi even called Casemiro to encourage him to join Inter Miami.
“Leo Messi called a former Real Madrid player this weekend who left wonderful memories, and his name is Casemiro,” said Inda on the show “El Chiringuito de Jugones.”
He also revealed some of the offers Casemiro currently has.
“There are offers from LA Galaxy, from Saudi Arabia, and now the main candidate is Inter Miami,” he added.
For many years, Casemiro was a rival of Messi when the Argentine played for Barcelona and the Brazilian for Real Madrid, but according to reports, they have maintained a good relationship.
Meanwhile, Messi remains focused on strengthening his team to win more trophies, with the involvement of Jorge Mas and David Beckham in the club’s project.
At the same time, Messi also has the 2026 World Cup in mind, where he has not yet confirmed his participation, but it is widely expected to be his “last dance” in the tournament.
