“A Perfect Fit” – Luis Enrique Reacts to Ferran Torres’ €50 Million Transfer to PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Ferran Torres from Barcelona for a reported fee of €50 million, with the Spanish forward signing a contract with the French champions until 2031.

PSG head coach Luis Enrique has made no secret of his delight at the arrival of the 26-year-old. Ahead of the Trophée des Champions, the Spanish manager particularly praised Torres’ versatility, mentality and experience, describing him as an important addition to the squad.

PSG Complete Torres Transfer for €50 Million

PSG officially announced the signing of Spanish forward Ferran Torres on Saturday. The 26-year-old leaves Barcelona to join the Parisian club in a deal worth €50 million.

The 2026 World Cup winner with Spain has signed a long-term contract with the French club that will keep him in Paris until 2031. The agreement takes effect immediately, and Torres will be available to Luis Enrique.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Trophée des Champions, Luis Enrique expressed his great satisfaction with the arrival of his compatriot, highlighting that Torres possesses exactly the qualities PSG are looking for in the transfer market.

“I am very happy with his arrival. I think we are improving the squad and we are always looking for new opportunities,” Enrique said.

“He is an international-level player, we know him very well, and he fits perfectly into our squad because he can play in several positions.”

The PSG manager also praised the forward’s mentality.

“With the mentality he has, I think it is very important to have players like him in the squad. We continue to work together with the president and Campos in the transfer market, always with the aim of improving the team,” Enrique added.
