Real Madrid hope coach Carlo Ancelotti will put pen to paper on a new contract extension before Christmas.
It’s no secret that the La Liga giants would like the four-time Champions League-winning coach to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, but they are said to be facing competition from the Brazil national team.
At various times in 2023, Ednaldo Rodrigues, President of the Brazil National Team, has insisted that Anelotti would be named as the new Brazil team ahead of the 2024 edition of the Copa América.
However, according to reports from Calciomercato.com, Ancelotti has decided that Real Madrid will be his first choice.
Calciomercato also refer to recent reports from Spanish newspaper Relevo, which indicate that a renewal with Los Blancos is imminent.
In fact, according to reports on Monday, Ancelotti is keen to say yes to Real Madrid in the coming weeks and that the club’s aim is to have a new contract formalized before the Christmas period.
It is believed that Ancelotti will extend his contract by two years, tying him to the club until the summer of 2026.
