In an interview with journalist Joe Bray, Pep Guardiola spoke about Kevin de Bruyne’s return from injury.
“If he says he will come back in January, then he stays in January. He is no longer 21 years old, time goes fast, unfortunately he is injured and he needs to recover well, prepare well and we are not expecting him to be perfect immediately after a week”, said Guardiola.

Kevin de Bruyne suffered an injury in the first game of this season in the Premier League, forcing him to undergo surgery on his thigh.
