Ronaldo’s former United team-mate Wayne Rooney believes now is the right time for the Red Devils to part ways with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
During this transitional period, rumors spread about a possible departure of Ronaldo from ‘Old Trafford’.
Related to this, former Man United player Wayne Rooney has also spoken, saying that the Portuguese star should leave the “Red Devils”.
“I think United should let Cristiano Ronaldo go,” he initially told The Times.
“It’s not that Ronaldo can’t play in a team with Ten Hag. He can play in any team. Ronaldo will always score goals for you. But my personal view is that United are not ready to challenge for the title now, so you have to build a team that can win the league in the next three to four years, and you have to plan for that,” he concluded.
