Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly waiting to be invited by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Turin after he decided to testify against Juventus in the ongoing investigation called “Prisma”.
Prosecutors in Piedmont have been closely scrutinizing financial practices in recent years, where they are accused of falsifying capital gains through inflated values in football transfers and defrauding the stock market after secretly paying salaries of ” top footballers” during the early stages in the Covid pandemic.
As TMW points out, an important figure in the investigation is former Juventus star Ronaldo, who now plays for the Saudi Arabian team, Al-Nassr. A secret document revealed that the Portuguese star had been promised suspended wages which were signed off by then sporting director Fabio Paratici, but not by the footballer himself.
Ronaldo was not given 19 million euros according to these documents and he wants this money. He wants to testify against Juventus in the Prisma investigation and is now waiting to be contacted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Turin.
It is possible that the Portuguese star’s testimony will be done by mail, allowing him to give his version of events from Saudi Arabia and avoiding trips to Italy. Stream index online
Ronaldo could also become a civil claimant against the Old Lady in order to get the money he is owed, which will be around €28m in total – €19m once commissions and legal fees are included.
