Simone Inzagi has turned into an Italian Cup specialist and he confirmed this yesterday evening when his Inter returned to convincing performances.
“It was a very good match of the boys who stayed in the competition for 95 minutes showing that we definitely wanted this qualification and getting it”, the black coach started the press conference after the match, continuing: “We are proud that we are the only Italian team competing in all competitions and this is a motivation that pushes us to work even harder. We want to win this trophy”.
The coach, however, despite his happiness, could not avoid questions about Shkriniar, who was not gathered for the match, explaining the reason behind the decision: “I didn’t want Shkriniar to be placed in a difficult position. I excluded him to leave him alone, but I know he won’t have any problems with him. He is a professional and I know that he will train as much as possible until June 30”.
Undoubtedly, the attention in the black camp now turns to Sunday’s derby, where Inzagi hopes to recover Brozovic, although once again he has claimed that the championship is already on the verge of impossible.
Now we will all recover our energy and prepare for the derby where I hope to have Brozović ready. We definitely want to win, but Napoli is elusive. They were exceptional, as in any other championship we would have been in the competition with so many points that we have accumulated”, declared Inzagi.
