Real Madrid have backed their legendary former coach, Zinedine Zidane.
Last night, the president of the French Football Federation, Noel Le Graet, gave a not-so-elegant statement about the football legend, Zinedine Zidane.
Zizou was recently linked with a move to the French national team, but that did not happen after Didier Deschamps extended his contract until 2026.
Meanwhile, the head of the FFF, Le Graet, has recently commented on this.
He told ‘RMC Sport’: “Did Zidane try to contact me? Of course not, I wouldn’t have been notified, anyway.”
After his statement, the Real Madrid club also reacted, severely condemning what Le Graet said about Zidane.
Below lajmi.net conveys the announcement of the “Kings”:
“Official Statement
Real Madrid CF regrets the unfortunate statements made by the president of the French Football Federation, Nöel Le Graët, about Zinedine Zidane, one of the greatest legends of world sport.
These words mean disrespect to one of the most admired figures by football fans around the world and our club expects an immediate correction. Zinedine Zidane, world champion and European champion who defends his country’s shirt, among many other titles, also represents the values of sport and has proven this throughout his professional career as a player and as a coach.
The statements of the president of the French Football Federation are inappropriate for someone who has that representation and does not qualify himself, like the ones he makes about our captain Karim Benzema, the current Ballon d’Or, Nations League champion with France in 2021 .and winner of 5 Champions Leagues, among many other titles”
