Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales celebrate their wedding anniversary

Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating the 15th anniversary of their marriage, a moment that brings renewed attention to one of the most well-known modern love stories. To mark the occasion, the heirs to the throne shared a family photo with their children.

Kate and William said “I do” to each other on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey, in a ceremony watched by over two billion people worldwide. However, the road to that day was not immediate: their relationship developed over the years, marked by a long courtship, a breakup, and a reconciliation.

In the years that followed, the couple built a stable and loving family. They became parents to three children: Prince George in 2013, Princess Charlotte in 2015, and Prince Louis in 2018. At the same time, Kate gained widespread public respect for how she balanced royal duties with family life, becoming a key figure in the British monarchy.

The couple’s greatest challenge came in 2024, when Kate was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy, temporarily stepping back from public life. After difficult months, in early 2025 she announced that her condition had improved and began a gradual return to official duties.
