Singer Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner, who got engaged last year, are reportedly preparing to tie the knot in the Italian city of Palermo this September.
According to the Italian newspaper Giornale di Sicilia, a wedding planner has been working for some time in Palermo to organize the ceremony, which is expected to take place between September 5 and 7. Meanwhile, La Repubblica reports that many guests are expected to arrive by private jets, with the event already being described as the “wedding of the year.”
News of their engagement was confirmed by Dua Lipa herself in an interview with British Vogue, where she expressed her excitement about this new step in her life. She said that the decision to build a life together and grow side by side is a very special feeling.
“Yes, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting… This decision to grow old together, to see a life and to be best friends forever is a really special feeling,” she said.
According to reports, the couple got engaged during the Christmas period of 2024, after first being linked at the beginning of that year. Dua has often been seen wearing a diamond ring, indirectly confirming the engagement.
In recent interviews, the singer revealed that due to her busy music schedule and tours, she has not yet focused much on wedding planning. She emphasized that she plans to wait until she completes her tour and Turner finishes filming before the ceremony takes place.
“I want to finish my tour, Callum is filming, so we’re just enjoying this period,” she said.
She also admitted that she has started thinking about her wedding dress, even though she had never previously imagined herself as a bride. “I was never someone who dreamed about a wedding or what kind of bride I would be. But now suddenly I’m thinking: what would I wear?” she added.
Dua also said she is “in love” with her engagement ring and emphasized the importance of having a partner who truly knows you and with whom you share your life.
Looking ahead, she has expressed a desire to start a family, although she admitted she is still unsure about the right timing due to her professional commitments and international tours.
