he well-known former Italian footballer, Maurizio Ganz, has stated that AC Milan has the potential to win the league title this season.
His comments come after the victory in the Milan derby, where the Rossoneri triumphed 1–0 against Inter, thanks to a decisive goal from Christian Pulisic.
With this win, Milan climbs to second place in Serie A, just two points behind leaders AS Roma. For Ganz, the current situation is very promising.
“I think Milan can win the Scudetto. The only problem at the moment is the difficulty in matches against teams fighting for survival, where they have dropped many points,” he told RAI Radio.
Ganz emphasized that Milan needs to show more when facing stronger rivals, while their absence from cup competitions could be an advantage in the title race.
He also commented on the changing roles of modern forwards, using Pulisic and Rafael Leao as examples.
“Milan played with two forwards outside their natural roles. In the past, a striker only thought about scoring goals, whereas now they have to chase opponents, recover the ball, and disrupt the first phase of buildup. It’s a matter of energy—their roles have changed. They score less because they have so many tasks during the match,” Ganz stressed.
