According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool – despite the deep crisis in results – is not considering the idea of dismissing Arne Slot at this moment.
The Reds have suffered eight defeats in their last 11 matches, but the club’s board is not discussing a change on the bench.
“I don’t have any kind of information that Liverpool’s owners are making an immediate decision,” Romano said in a video on his YouTube channel. “They are not thinking about changing the coach. They are not in talks with any other manager. This is the situation as of today.”
Slot still enjoys a level of credibility with the club’s leadership due to the fact that, in his first season after the Jurgen Klopp era, he managed to guide the Reds to the Premier League title.
However, dissatisfaction is growing significantly among a portion of Liverpool supporters. If that pressure increases even more at Anfield, Slot’s position could become seriously threatened.
A possible option is the return of Klopp, who informed the fans that he is open to managing the English giant once again.
