First of all, tell yourself who you want to be, and then strive to become that.

In a world where everything moves fast and expectations often come from the outside, there is one question each of us must honestly ask ourselves: Who do I want to be? Not what do I want to have, nor what do others expect from me—but who, at my core, do I want to become?

Because every true journey begins with self-awareness. Dreams are not born by chance, and success is not merely a matter of luck. It arises from the determination to follow a clear vision, from an idea that becomes a compass in uncertain times. Without this inner vision, it’s easy to get lost in the noise of others’ thoughts, becoming a version that doesn’t belong to you.

To say to yourself “I want to be fair,” “I want to be creative,” “I want to be courageous,” is the first step toward building an identity with purpose. It doesn’t matter how distant what you wish to become may seem—what matters is to name it, to imagine it, and then, step by step, to build it.

The effort to become who you want to be is what gives life meaning. It is not always easy—because the path toward your true self is often the hardest one. It demands facing weaknesses, making sacrifices, and having patience. But it is also the noblest and most honest path you can follow.

The truth is this: no one will walk for you. No one will live in your place. And in the end, only you will face what you have or have not become. So, before you chase anything else in life, pause and ask yourself: Who do I want to be? And then, strive every day to get closer to that version of yourself.

Do not see life as a stage where you play the role assigned to you by others. Be its screenwriter, director, and actor. Make your conscious choice. Tell yourself, with a clear voice: This is who I want to be, and then, work each day to make it a reality.
