Carlo Ancelotti will officially leave Real Madrid on May 25 and is set to make his debut as Brazil’s head coach on June 5 in Guayaquil, during the World Cup qualifying match against Ecuador.
Ancelotti’s time in Brazil is set to be truly golden. Just one day after the announcement of his appointment as coach of the Seleção, local media began circulating the figures and details of the deal that will tie him to the CBF (Brazilian Football Federation) until 2026.
“Carletto” will earn around €10 million net per season and is also expected to receive a €5 million bonus if Brazil wins the 2026 World Cup. He will also have access to a private jet, which will allow him to fly to Europe or Canada—where his wife Mariann lives—whenever he wishes.
Ancelotti will officially depart from Real Madrid on May 25 and make his debut on Brazil’s bench on June 5 in Guayaquil, during the World Cup qualifier against Ecuador. It’s no easy challenge, considering that Beccacece’s national team is currently second in the standings behind Argentina and holds a two-point lead over Brazil, who sit in fourth place.
With less than a month to go until his debut, Carlo has already begun working. According to Brazilian media, he has already contacted Neymar by phone to check on his recovery following his most recent injury (the Santos striker’s last appearance for the Seleção dates back to October 2023). He is also reportedly considering bringing Casemiro back into the national team. Casemiro hasn’t featured for Brazil in over a year and a half, but despite a disastrous season for Manchester United (who are still awaiting the Europa League final), he has made 39 appearances and scored 5 goals.
