Vinicius Junior has rejected Real Madrid’s initial contract renewal offer, with negotiations between the two parties still ongoing.
According to reports, the Madrid club’s proposal was worth around €22 million per year, along with 50 percent of his image rights. However, the Brazilian forward is reportedly seeking a salary closer to €25 million per season, as well as 80 percent of his image rights.
Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation and are said to be prepared to offer Vinicius 100 percent of his image rights, a higher salary, and a financial package that could be worth up to £140 million.
Despite the Premier League club’s interest, Vinicius’ priority remains staying at Real Madrid, but only if a new agreement can be reached that meets his demands.
In addition to his salary and image rights, the Brazilian star is also requesting a substantial signing bonus for the new contract, believed to be worth as much as €25 million.
The final decision is expected to rest with Vinicius himself, while negotiations with Real Madrid continue.
