Ruzhdi Gashi-A Poem for the Trojan War

In Troy, where the wind weeps over towering walls,
There, where heroes clashed under the fiery moon,
Where Agamemnon, Achilles, and brave Hector stood,
Fought for honor, for glory, and endless sorrow.

Across the black sea sailed the ship of vengeance,
For fair Helen, taken in longing and desire.
Flames engulfed the city, the great gates burned,
As trumpets called out with voices fierce and fiery.

Strong Hector fell in a brutal duel,
In the hands of Achilles, the man ablaze with wrath.
An entire city crumbled, a world undone,
Yet their memory rises, forever etched in legend.

O ancient Troy, with your sorrow carved in stone,
Where heroes burned like stars in their final hour.
Glory and pain remain your legacy,
In humanity’s memory, in hearts never to forget.
