Barcelona suffered a shock as they were defeated in front of their home fans with a comeback victory by Atletico Madrid, 2-1.
After the match, Hansi Flick stated that they would return stronger in 2025 and that his team would prove what they are capable of doing.
“We will not give up. We will come back strong after Christmas, and the team will show what it is capable of,” Flick said.
Furthermore, the German coach remarked that his team played an extraordinary game against Atletico.
“We played an exceptional game. I am very proud of my players and very disappointed with the result. Atletico Madrid waited for their chance, and that was enough for them. For us, it’s different, and it was very frustrating. But I’m satisfied with the way we played.”
