Camouflage, poem by Manolis

Wind blew
the fallen leaves
death took over
the sidewalk when
my mind
ran to your smile

suddenly I saw the strange
dance leaves had just commenced
in front of my eyes
and in the slumber
of their death
as if alive they sang

nothing dies
life only changes
its rhythm and dress.

Manolis, (Crete)
