Trump’s Ultimatum to Zelensky: Accept the 28-Point Plan, Deadline Set for November 27

U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed reports that he has given Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky an ultimatum to respond to the American 28-point plan aimed at ending the war, with a deadline set for November 27, Thanksgiving Day.

“We think it’s a good day, it’s a good time,” Trump stated, adding that there is a “window” for extending the deadline if talks with Ukraine “go well.” He made the comments on Fox News Radio, as reported by the BBC.

When asked about the 28-point proposal, he emphasized that the United States is involved “for one reason – we want the killings to stop.”

Regarding Western concerns that Russia may in the future pose a threat to the Baltic states or other parts of Europe, Trump said Moscow would not do such a thing. “They’re not looking for more war. They’re already being punished,” the U.S. President underscored.

In his interview, Trump reiterated that if the war continues, Ukraine risks losing even more territory “in a short period of time.”

According to him, Zelensky has informed the administration that he is willing to negotiate, but the White House—and now Trump himself—insist that the plan must be signed by November 28.

The 28-point plan includes, among other things, that Kyiv must cede additional territory, accept that it will never join NATO, and offer full amnesty to Russians suspected of war crimes.
