ose Mourinho is focused on resolving any lingering tension between Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde, following the high-profile clash between the two Real Madrid midfielders several months ago.
According to Spanish newspaper Diario AS, the two midfield stars recently met at Real Madrid’s training ground in Valdebebas, for the first time since the serious incident that occurred three months ago.

The confrontation between them on May 7 escalated into physical violence, with Valverde ending up in hospital after suffering a head injury. Following the incident, Real Madrid’s management imposed a hefty €500,000 fine on each player as punishment for their behavior.
Since then, both footballers have publicly apologized and insisted that the conflict has been completely resolved.
However, Mourinho wants to make sure that no lingering tension affects his plans for the new season. The Portuguese coach considers it extremely important for Tchouameni and Valverde to form a stable partnership in midfield.

Mourinho’s tactical plan is based on a “double pivot” formed by the two midfielders, which will serve as the foundation for an attacking unit packed with stars, including Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and new signing Yan Diomande.
Despite the situation in the past, Mourinho has no intention of arranging a formal intervention between the two players, at least not for now.
The coach will wait and see whether their relationship on the pitch shows that the conflict has truly been left behind.
Tchouameni and Valverde have yet to play together in a match since the incident, so the way their partnership works on the pitch is expected to be one of the most interesting aspects to follow at the start of the season.
