Paul Pogba has asked to re-test the sample in which traces of testosterone were found in the anti-doping test at the Udinese-Juventus match on August 20. The football player’s representatives are waiting for the answer of the second test, while then the investigation for the French midfielder will begin, reports Sportmediaset.
In case the final decision is a violation by the Frenchman, he will be punished with 4 years of disqualification. Whereas if it is decided that the use of substances was involuntary, he will be sentenced to only two years.
In the first case, if he admits the violation, his sentence will be reduced by one year. But at the age of 30, he would return to the field three seasons later, and this would create difficulties.
If he accepts the involuntary use, then his sentence can be reduced by half and the French midfielder can return to the field after just one season.
In such a situation, Juvja can also make another decision regarding the future with Pogba.
The third option is that of a legal battle in the sports courts, but the time needed for the case to be closed can be long, making the return to the field even more difficult.
