Neymar Junior is currently going through perhaps the most difficult period of his career. Since leaving Paris Saint-Germain two years ago, his form has declined significantly, and the 33-year-old has even lost his place in the Brazilian national team.
He has not played for the Seleção since October 2023 and still hopes for a call-up for next year’s World Cup in America.
The main problem today remains his severe knee injury. Following his latest surgery, it has already been confirmed that Neymar is expected to miss the biggest tournament in the world. But the Brazilian forward has not given up—in fact, he has taken an unexpected step.
According to ESPN Brazil, Neymar has scheduled a visit with Dr. Eduardo, otherwise known as the “miracle doctor.” The goal? To prepare him for an almost impossible return to the pitch before the World Cup.
Dr. Eduardo is known for record-breaking recoveries. Brazil still remembers the case of David Luiz at PSG: although the initial prediction was 8–10 weeks of recovery, after treatment with Eduardo he returned to training in just 10 days.
His list also includes big names such as Hulk, Oscar, Coutinho, Matheus Cunha, and many other stars. He has worked with several well-known clubs, and Shanghai SIPG even once paid a release clause to bring him from Zenit.
Now it remains to be seen: will his “magic” be enough to bring Neymar back in time for the World Cup? The Brazilian is hoping strongly.
