Lionel Messi has once again made history in world football. The Argentine star provided an assist in Inter Miami’s emphatic 5-1 victory tonight over New York City.
With the assist for Silvettin, Messi reached a total of 405 career assists, surpassing the Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskás.
Meanwhile, Inter Miami secured a place in the MLS Cup final in a match where Tadeo Allende shone with a hat-trick.
Messi’s team will face Vancouver Whitecaps, where Thomas Müller plays, in the final. Vancouver defeated San Diego 3-1 to reach this stage.
