Liverpool have Jurgen Klopp’s successor in mind if the German coach decides to leave Anfield Road.
If the former coach of Borussia Dortmund accepts the offer of the German Football Federation to become the National Team coach, then the “Reds” will look at the current coach of Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso.
According to the English press, the Spanish coach, who was crowned European champion with Liverpool when he was a footballer, has included an option in his contract with the Bundesliga club that allows him to leave the German club at any time if he receives an offer from the English giant.
Klopp has a contract with Liverpool until 2026, but remains the first choice of the leaders of the German Federation.
He has been in charge of the English team since 2015, coming off a disappointing season.
Xabi Alonso, for his part, is also liked by Real Madrid.
