A sensational return of Jurgen Klopp to Madrid? Spanish reports suggest he could replace Xabi Alonso on Real Madrid’s bench, as the future of the current coach is becoming increasingly uncertain.
According to Defensa Central, if there is a failure against Alavés and Real Madrid decides to change coaches, Jurgen Klopp is seen as the main option. It is said that the German has set two clear conditions to take over: two urgent reinforcements in January.
He would request a centre-back, with Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté as the favorite, and the Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, whom he highly values.
However, the Real Madrid board does not consider it necessary to bring in a defender and a midfielder during the January window—let alone two players from Liverpool. A deal for Konaté could be feasible due to his contract expiring in 2026, but the transfer of Szoboszlai, who is tied to the English club until 2028, is considered almost impossible.
Xabi Alonso’s future remains unclear and will depend on the results in the upcoming matches, while the pressure on him continues to grow.
