According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, Portuguese coach José Mourinho has reached a personal agreement with Real Madrid for a contract that would keep him at the “Santiago Bernabéu” until 2028.
The report highlights that the Madrid club is already prepared to pay the release clause to Benfica in order to bring “The Special One” back to the Spanish capital.
This return would be one of the most sensational moves in European football, as Mourinho previously managed the Madrid side from 2010 to 2013, a period during which he won the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
Mourinho’s name has often been linked with spectacular returns throughout his career, but a comeback to Real Madrid would once again bring a charismatic figure with extraordinary experience back to the “Los Blancos” bench.
