Former legendary Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović believes that Zinedine Zidane is the ideal candidate to take charge of the French national team, stressing that Les Bleus need a manager more than a coach.
Speaking about Zidane, Ibrahimović praised his remarkable achievements with Real Madrid, where he led the club to three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles.
“Zidane did an outstanding job at Real Madrid. He won three Champions League trophies. We all know that he will take charge of the French national team,” Ibrahimović said.
According to the Swedish icon, Zidane will not need to make major sporting changes, as Didier Deschamps has already built a very strong foundation for the team.
“I think he will simply continue the work that Deschamps has built. It’s not difficult to choose the players because France has them. What he needs to bring is his management style and the way he wants to lead the team,” Ibrahimović concluded.
