Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has left Inter after eleven seasons at the club, the Serie A side announced on Wednesday.
Handanovic, who was named Inter’s captain in 2019, is now available as a free agent after his contract expired at the end of June.
“A point of reference, a leader in the dressing room, a courageous captain. Samir Handanovic has been all of these in the eleven seasons he has defended the goal of the Nerazzurri,” Inter wrote in a statement.
Handanovic joined Inter in July 2012.
