FC Barcelona is ready to sacrifice five players for a squad rebuild this summer

Barcelona are in a strong position to win La Liga this season, but the club’s management is already planning steps to strengthen the squad for the next campaign.

The “Blaugrana” are aiming for their sixth UEFA Champions League title, which they last won in 2015.

However, this season they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Atlético Madrid.

Head coach Hansi Flick has faced some disappointments in Europe despite domestic success, and is pushing for reinforcements to compete for the continent’s biggest prize.

Due to financial constraints, Barcelona will need to sell several players to fund new signings.

Among those who could leave is Ronald Araújo, a defensive leader who has had limited appearances this season after time away from the pitch for personal reasons.

Additionally, full-backs Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde could be sacrificed if good offers arrive or if the club finds better alternatives.

Marc Casadó, a product of the famous La Masia academy, is another candidate for departure. The midfielder has attracted interest from various clubs, including those in the Premier League and Saudi Arabia, but has so far preferred to stay. However, a lack of playing time could push him toward a move.

A more complex case is Roony Bardghji, who is considered a top talent. The club may sell him with a buy-back clause to allow him more playing time, as he is currently overshadowed by Lamine Yamal.

As for incoming transfers, Barcelona have been linked with several big names. Julián Álvarez (from Atlético Madrid) and Alessandro Bastoni (from Inter) are at the top of the list.

According to El Chiringuito TV, the club is also tracking four other players:

  • Denzel Dumfries from Inter, a reliable option on the right flank
  • Marc Cucurella from Chelsea FC, a possible return for the Catalan player
  • Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, who could be available this summer
  • Youssef Diomande from RB Leipzig, who has impressed in the Bundesliga

For Diomande, competition is expected to be strong from Liverpool FC, but the opportunity to play for Barcelona and join talents like Lamine Yamal could be decisive.

In conclusion, Barcelona are preparing for a busy summer transfer window, balancing departures and arrivals to build a more competitive squad for European competition.
