Enzo Fernandez has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City over personal terms, as the Premier League champions continue to pursue the Chelsea midfielder.
The Argentine star and the Etihad club have already reached an agreement.
However, the transfer is not yet close to being completed, as City have still not submitted an official offer to Chelsea.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the next step will be contact between the two clubs, with Chelsea ultimately deciding the asking price required to sanction Fernandez’s departure.
The Argentine could also miss Chelsea’s upcoming match at the weekend, adding further intrigue to his situation.
Chelsea have previously valued Fernandez at around €140 million, meaning City may have to make a significant financial commitment to secure his signing.
