Nottingham Forest secured their first-ever victory against Newcastle United in the Premier League with a 3-1 result during the 19th round of matches.
The hosts took the lead through Alexander Isak in the 23rd minute, converting a penalty.
Forest then equalized just before halftime with Chris Wood, benefiting from a well-served assist by Anthony Elanga.
In the second half, Wood scored again in the 53rd minute, putting Forest ahead for the first time in the match. The same player completed a hat-trick by netting the third and sealing the victory.
Following this win, Nottingham Forest climbed to 16th place with 17 points, while Newcastle sits in seventh place with 29 points.
This marks the first time in the club’s history that Nottingham Forest has defeated Newcastle United in the Premier League.
