No team in any of the top five European leagues has conceded fewer goals than Inter so far in the 2032/24 season.
Moreover, no other goalkeeper from the top five leagues has kept more clean sheets than Yann Sommer. In Serie A, Inter has only conceded seven goals in 16 matches. This figure is less than half the number of goals conceded by the Premier League leader, Arsenal (15). Liverpool has also conceded 15 goals, but it should be noted that there has been an additional round of matches in the Premier League.
In France, Nice has conceded fewer goals in Ligue 1 (9), while Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga has conceded 12 goals in 15 played rounds. Real Madrid in La Liga has also conceded 12 goals so far this season. In the Spanish football elite, 17 rounds have been played.
For comparison within Italy, Napoli had conceded 13 goals in the first 16 Serie A matches on their way to the last title. Napoli ended the season with a total of 26 goals conceded.
Inter and the main goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, have also kept the most clean sheets in the top five European leagues – 11 times.
Only one other goalkeeper on the entire continent has achieved the same number, and that’s Walter Benitez of PSV.
